What I read in 2023

Already a month into the new year, I’m excited to share the books I dove into in 2023. Each year, I aim to immerse myself in books that ignite my curiosity, bring peace to my being, or simply entertain me in place of social media. While reading isn’t always my top priority, I often find myself stealing moments to indulge in it when life gets hectic. So, although I didn’t hit my goal of 26 books this past year, I’m happy to have landed at 24 that covered the categories of fiction, memoirs, science, and home.

Cancer Precision Medicine — Taking the experiment out of the patient

Precision medicine is the use of a patient’s own tissue, health records, or data to make healthcare related decisions. This can be something as common as the use of a saliva sample to learn more about family genetics or as obscure as the use of skin cells to determine how a hereditary muscle disease may progress.
